As our travels head home, we keep coming back to the one question that’s guided us on the road for years. It’s become our simple way to make space for what matters most, and now, we’re hoping it’ll help us stay focused on travel even while exploring our own backyard.

After years of exploring the United States and Canada by car, these are the places that have earned their spot in what we’re calling The Road Trip Locals Superlatives… our personal list of “bests” from the road.

Our 2023 Travel Season was one for the books, covering 6400 miles (just counting mileage between stops), 11 US national parks and 5 CA national parks, and 30 different towns and cities we called home for anywhere from 1 to 21 nights.
